Teaching Print E-mail

Since we have classes for infants through adults, there is always a great need for people who are willing to teach or to help with classes and other programs.

Adults and College Students

Children and Youth

There are many ways to serve in the Children's Education Ministry.  We can always use:

  • Teachers, assistants and substitutes for Sunday and Wednesday children's classes for infants through middle school.
  • Volunteers to lead or help with Children's Worship (for three years-Kindergarten) and Bible Basics (for 1st-3rd grades) during the preaching portion of our Sunday morning assembly.
  • Volunteers to supervise children during the Sunday night 320 sessions.  Activities include things like crafts, singing, videos, and play time.
  • Volunteers to help prepare teaching materials for our classes (we call them our "Cut-ups".)
  • Creative people to assemble and put up bulletin board displays.

English Second Language

Our Conversational English Program held at Laurel each Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. offers an opportunity for international students and their families to develop and strengthen conversational English skills, cultivate friendships, share cultures and discuss religion and other topics of interest with Laurel members who serve as conversation partners.  We are always happy to get more partners because there is a great interest in our local area in studying English as a second language.
