After growing up
in northern West Virginia, I attended Marshall University. While at
Marshall I was first introduced to campus ministry. This experience became
the spark for an eventual career in campus ministry.
I graduated in 1995, and
spent two years traveling Pennsylvania and Maryland as an area manager for
a building products manufacturer. In 1998, I moved to Raleigh, North
Carolina where I owned an Internet Service Provider and spent my free time
volunteering with a ministry on the campus of North Carolina State
University.
In 2000, I sold my
business to work in campus ministry fulltime. That same year, I moved to
Lexington, Kentucky to serve as an intern in a campus ministry at the
University of Kentucky. Also while in Lexington, I enrolled in the M.A.
Bible program at Lipscomb University.
Most importantly, however,
I met Leslee Bailey while I was an intern at Kentucky. In August of 2002,
I moved to Knoxville to work with the Christian Student Center at the
University of Tennessee. I completed my M.A. in May 2003, and
married Leslee in July 2003 and we hope to stay with the CSC for a long time!
